ESOP Association Invites Companies to Celebrate EOM
For more than 28 years, Employee Ownership Month has been an opportunity for ESOP (employee stock ownership plan) companies across the nation to educate employee owners and the public about the undeniable benefits of employee ownership for employees, their companies, their communities, and the nation.
"I'm pleased to announce the start of Employee Ownership Month 2018," said ESOP Association President, J. Michael Keeling. "For over two decades, our members have promoted employee ownership and its benefits through their daily actions and interactions."

The 24th Annual Economic Performance Survey conducted in 2015 by the Employee Ownership Foundation found:
- Creating employee ownership through an ESOP was 'a good business decision that has helped the company,' according to 93 percent of survey respondents.
- Revenue increased as a direct result of the ESOP for 78 percent of respondents.
- 65 percent of companies indicated they have created an ESOP education program or ESOP advisory committee since establishing the ESOP.
- The ESOP positively affected the overall productivity of the employees for 76 percent of respondents.

The ESOP Association is America's largest employer-sponsored advocacy and education association focused on employee stock ownership plans. Founded in 1978, the Association seeks to enhance federal laws governing ESOPs, provide members with expert information, and fund research via the Employee Ownership Foundation (an affiliate). The ESOP Association is a national non-profit organization with 18 local Chapters. Its members include ESOP companies, companies considering an ESOP, and service providers that assist in setting up and maintaining ESOPs.
