The ESOP Association needs your help thanking Wisconsin Senators Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin for their leadership!

Recently, Sen. Johnson introduced, and Sen. Baldwin co-sponsored, S.4236, the Temporary Federal ESOP Grant Program.  This new legislation has the potential to dramatically increase employee ownership while helping businesses recover and adapt to a post COVID economy.

The legislation incentivizes the formation of new ESOPs and the expansion of existing partial ESOPs.  Businesses would be eligible for grants of up to $20,000 per employee to be used for investments into fixed assets. In order to qualify for the grants, the business must agree to form a new ESOP or increase the share owned by an existing ESOP.  TEA is working with the Senators to identify ways to provide benefit to existing 100% ESOPs as well.
