A Statement from The ESOP Association in Support of Racial Justice and National Unity

Yesterday, today, and in the days to come, hundreds of thousands of Americans of all ages, backgrounds, and races will take to the streets across the nation in continued, peaceful protest catalyzed by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. The ESOP Association adds its voice to theirs and stands with peaceful protestors who demand an end to systemic racism within our criminal justice system, for reform of our police departments, and an end to racist behavior that unacceptably continues to occur within them.

The ESOP Association, and the concept of employee ownership, hold at their core the values of fairness, opportunity, mutual respect, and compassion for one another. These values are advanced both inside the workplace and throughout the communities where our members live and work. Our nation is at a most turbulent crossroad where our fellow citizens call on all of us to aspire to a more perfect union. As a nation, we must hear that call, once and for all. Racism and discrimination must end now.
