TEA National Conference 2022

The 2022 National Conference from The ESOP Association

The TEA National Conference has been the foundation of our community's public policy efforts, taking place in May, for nearly five decades.

This year’s conference is the first event in a generation convening the ESOP Community to build a new policy agenda. It will serve as your opportunity to give voice to your needs and have a direct impact on the future of employee ownership in America.

Hear directly from your regulators and lawmakers, then join your fellow Association Members and exercise your citizenship during NEW Town Hall meetings on distinct areas of concern to the entire membership. All while also learning the best practices to strengthen and leverage your ESOP's voice within your own company and community.

A New Agenda For ESOPs

ESOPs are experiencing an undeniable increase of interest and support across the nation. Professional firms report that the pipeline of new ESOP formation is nearly full, but still growing. Congressional support for employee ownership remains at an all-time high and deeply bi-partisan.

With mid-term elections approaching in November, The ESOP Association is leading the effort to formulate a new agenda for the next decade. This year-long effort is already underway. The Public Policy Council and our Advisory Committees have already been working hard to guide our policy for the future. The goal is to release new policy proposals and regulatory fixes before the 2022 mid-term elections and in preparation for the 2024 Presidential election.

Town Halls

At this year's National Conference, TEA will convene a series of Town Hall meetings to discuss the policy agenda with the entire Association Membership -- while it is still being formed. Every Member Company of The ESOP Association is requested to have a representative participate. Professional Members of the Association should also participate and share their expertise. A special registration has been created to ensure all Member companies and Professionals can participate virtually if unable to attend in person.

Industry Recognitions

Each year, our awards celebration features our top national awards, such as the Employee Owner of the Year, and ESOP Company of the Year. This year we will also be announcing our inaugural ESOP Champion Award for an elected or appointed figure who has demonstrated an unusual level of support and commitment to ESOPs. This year, our awards ceremony will be held over lunch on Thursday, May 5.

Advocacy Day and Advocacy Academy

The Advocacy Academy is TEA's exclusive public affairs and advocacy training program. Our goal is to build your foundational knowledge and provide you with the tools you need to become advocates within your company, your community and in the political process.
